The FreeMind Music Studio is a music training and production program for all ages.
Singer/songwriters/musicians of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in our private/group lessons. We are dedicated to getting you out of your own way, so you can impact people with your instrument. Creativity and music frees us when and where society/life has often locked us down and held us back...

FREEMIND ENSEMBLE

This professional ensemble and artist launching pad is for young adults aged 18-30 who want to intensively build their skills as a singer/songwriter/musician. An outgrowth of the Crossing Jordan Ensemble and with the same new music goal, participants interchange in this ensemble as songwriters, soloists, BGV's and musicians. FreeMind members write the music, and FreeMind interprets it into a performance and recording. Performances are booked and music is distributed while success and proceeds are shared. This unique opportunity can be a great way to build exposure before you blow up and also serve as a necessary home base when the industry presents its expected challenges.

Our youth program, Crossing Jordan, is a Collective of 'singer-songwriter-musicians' aged 12-17 developed for the world's stage through our music training, life and business skills development, and the guided creation of new music. This is an intensive program, and while all young people are encouraged to participate, we especially invite at-risk youth with a passion and skill for music to audition. The story isn't new, and the task isn't unique: Every kid needs someone who believes in them! However, for too many of our urban African American and Latinx youth, the journey to music success is lonely.... Through partnerships with musicians, artists, and arts organizations, we develop the next generation of singer-songwriter-musicians bringing a transformative message and giving back to the community!
FREEMIND MUSIC CAMP
This Summer Camp is a music intensive for four different age groups. Vee-Jay (Ages 5-8), Motown (Ages 9-11), Def Jam (Ages 12-15), Black Swan (Ages 16-18). Join us for a two week bootcamp to develop music skills, perform and record, and use sports and academic skills to develop the complete musician. Vee-Jay's, Motown's, & Def Jam's meet daily from 8:30am-3:30pm. Black Swan's work as junior counselors in the day camp and have their own program daily from 3:30pm-7:00pm with dinner provided. The entire program culminates in a two showcases where participants share their growth with family, friends, our Board members and stakeholders, and industry elite.
