Had a ball the other night joining our friend Stephanie Fisher and her Inner Voice Ensemble with pianist/organist Shedrick Mitchell, bassist Burniss Travis, drummer Marcus Baylor, his wife, the incomparable jazz singer and former member of R&B duo Zhane, Jean Baylor, and the amazing jazz harmonic player Gregoire Maret. What a time we had bringing the timeless message of love and freedom to jazz lovers at the NYC Winter Jazz Fest. Both near and far, people everywhere are coming together to spread the truth that we are "freed to love" and that makes all the difference! Freeing minds, freeing the world......Enjoy!

Something in between, something more like both/and, something more like working-rest or painful-bliss is meant when we talk about love! Too many are being destroyed for what they believe and for just existing, and its time for action! MLK said that "Injustice anywhere is the threat to justice everywhere," so we stand for justice... joining with my brother Paul Kist and the Noon Project to see peace and justice among the persecuted in the Middle East.
